Madisonville, Texas: With the constant-changing news and developments surrounding the coronavirus (COVID), school officials across the nation, and the world, have had to make some tough decisions.
On March 13, the officials with the Madisonville Consolidated Independent School District (MCISD) announced via its website that it would cancel all “classes and school activities beginning March 16, with classes planned to resume on March 30.”
The MCISD Child Nutrition Department, the release stated, “will provide free drive-thru meal service for all students … meal pickup will be located the the high school cafeteria northside drive-thru lane between the hours of 11 am and 1 pm on weekdays from March 16-March 20.”
Student received Texas Education Agency mandated “instructional continuity resources at the end of the day on Friday, March 13.”
The MCISD offered a Spanish version of the statement as well, and we will post it on our website shortly.
